Flying site Brgud is best for afternoon flights until the sunset.
Flying place is located on the west side of a mountain chain that extends from Učka to Plomin. Flying site works better in the afternoon because of its location when the sun starts to shine western slopes. In the summer months when we have west wind, it is possible to fly until sunset. Typically Brgud we use for the second flight of the day or when you do not have the ability to take off in the earlier hours. Site is not demanding, and late afternoon produces fine thermals.
Potential danger is stronger west wind at the take off, so it must wait until late afternoon until it decreases. Even in the late afternoon you will not lose the chance for the long flight.
Start is located at about 900 m ASL. Departing on large not steap meadow.
Landing is at meadows in Cepic fields, 50 m ASL. Landing can be reached by car following macadam road downhill to place Nova Ves.

How to get there:
From Rijeka direction go through the tunnel and now on the gas station turn to the right and go uphill to Učka. Drive uphill and in the village of Mala Ucka turn right. Now
you will be on macadam road and you have 20 minutes of driving. Follow signs that are marcation to take off.
