About Vinodol Paragliding Academy OPEN
For the first time, Paragliding Club Flumen invites pilots from Croatia and from all over the world to come and meet our flying place, terrain and club members. Our Vinodol Paragliding Academy OPEN that combines competition and school activities, is planned to become an emblem of free flying in Croatia, integrating a growing number of pilots each year that wish to learn and have fun! The Vinodol Paragliding Academy OPEN consists of a particularly organized competition for low- and mid-level pilots, who are eager to try the competing experience for the first time, in a professional and safe environment; complementary, it offers the unique opportunity of bringing theory into practice through a series of paragliding competition lectures strategically programmed.It is this innovative mix of competition and academic activities, brought to you by Paragliding Club Flumen, what sets a huge breakthrough in the paragliding competition arena and which was designed to improve your overall flying skills.
The event is organized as follows:
- 3 days of competition (the fourth day is considered as reserve)
- 4 days of lectures for 10 hours altogether. A thorough program that will take you from the basic competition guidelines to the valuable sharing of expert knowledge, which would otherwise take you a long time to learn by yourself!
- Cash prizes provided by club and sponsors for the best pilots/students in 3 categories: OPEN, Mini Serial (DHV 1, 1-2, 2) and Women.
- All transportation, retrievals and rescue team
- Extra lecturing and outdoors activities programmed in case of bad weather.
Family and friends are very welcome to join and share with us the paragliding atmosphere. For all visitors, pilots and non-pilots, we have organized a substantial tombola that will be raffled after prize giving ceremony on the last day of the Vinodol Paragliding Academy OPEN. So, everybody has the opportunity to help our club and win good prizes!!!
Lectures will be given in English with translation to Croatian if needed.To make a better pilot out of you: our inspiration !In the case of really bad weather that week we will use reserve date in September .

- Lestures (bring your papers and pencils)
