Task 2- Worlds

At Crazy it was crazy because you could easily end up in cloud or in another glider. Afther oppenign start we went to first turnpoint to SW in the walley . TP was about 10k far so everybody was climbing anithing decent. At turnpoint things got more interesting as some started pushing to east to second TP. Some were lower but they got easily to the group above. We started pushing and soon we were about 20 gliders in front leading to second TP. To second TP we got low and soon I realized that climb is not so good there because cumuli made shade over us. There one group of pilots witch climbed fast went to third tp at Divisadero same way as we came here. We stayed thermaling and finaly we were at cludbase. I saw a gruop of pilots taking short way to Espina and I pushed and cought them on the way. Now we were thermaling to cludbase to make it to the Espina ridge. I was now in frst four and we mashed for ridge. We were coming int he lee side of the ridge and I cought big sink and I was afraid that we will not cross over it. I turned back to go thermaling to Crazy but the rest ofthe guys did it nicely and climed and jumped to Maguey. We were now at Crazy and afther good climb jumped to Maguey also. Some stayed thermaling there and some pushe on the ridge to antenas. I pushed on the ridge in search for good lift but to TP nothing decent came along so I turned TP below. Afther antenas I saw a group of pilots that went other way to antenas. They lost a loto f time but they did it acros walley. I cought afther antenas two good climbs and I saw first group again nt so far in front. The went from Maguey to goal and we took a shortcut to Cerro Gordo. I was higher than others but I cought good sink and was soon with others at Cerro thermaling narrow and strong climb. I saw cumuli above us but no one turned enough to come to base. First ones allready left so it was just coming to goal. I was still 350 m short in height to goal so I needed one more climb. We all went for goal I was higher so I was happy but not for long. As I needed more altitude I saw some pilots turning int he lee side of ridge and I fasly went there. On the way I cought again good sink and started to fight the lee side termal. I did not like it so I went down wind over some velley and small trees to find better climb. This was mistake as it was late I cought thrmal not more than 0.5 ms strong and I could not climb in it couse it driftted me and I stayed int he same altitude. Guys that did another line made it to the goal. I was thermaling 3 k before goal some week lift but I was not gaining altitude due the end oft he day. Finaly I went for the goal short in height and had to land before the power lines 1,5k before goal. There was also week lift that could drift me the goal maybe but wires where there in between. It was anoher good day for race. Don't know who won. Look at resuts at fficial webpage.
